Cobalt and Ale

Yaaaah... I saw the base the other day... Got bored today... Decided to make this. Cobalt is not mine. Ale, however, is. Ale=Al-lE. As in Allie. Not ail.

Hope yo don't mind, FakeWings18, for stealing Cobalt for a minute. XD

Ale struggled in her ropes. She was stuck on the table, about to be tested on. She heard shouts and gunfire from the other room, but what was most important right now was her.
'I'm sorry Cobalt... I should have been a better friend... A better guide. It's my fault your alone right now...' She thought. Her feelings were depressed. She liked Cobalt. He was nice, quiet though. But he cared. She remembered when they met...

She'd followed him to a caben in the woods and was now screaming.

"The Bounties! They're coming!" She grabbed his hand and ran. The ran to a shallow river, and she fell face first intot he ice water while he was using his wings to fly. She sat up and groaned. Her ankle was sprained, a rope had caught hold of it and dragged her down. The rope was gone, but the icey water didn't help. Cobalt had flown down.

"What's wrong?" He asked

"I just about broke my ankle! I can't walk!" She groaned.

So he picked her up on his back and ran. She'd passed out right after he picked her up, but woke up soon after.

"That cave." she told him. They spent the night there.

"Can i call you Cobalt?" she asked. They'd just come out of the rain where he'd found her crying. He nodded, a bit startled. While he'd been sleeping, before he woke with a start to find her staring at him, she'd been thinking of what to call him, settling on Cobalt due to his eyes.

"Cobalt, then." She said, smiling.

"Judging by the light, it's about four miles across." She'd just nearly died, falling into an abyss. Her dark-wings had saved her.

"Since your injured, i can carry you." Cobalt offered.

"You don't have to. I've got my own pair." She told him, shaking out her wings. Unseen by her in the darkness, he shuddered at the scars on them.

"Don't care." He said, picking her up. "I'm carrying you so you don't hurt yourself more." Ale sighed, allowing him to. She had actually enjoyed the coldness of his arms, and had fallen asleep a few times in the 30 minutes in had taken them to reach the other side...

"It's just two kids hopin' for their first time!" A bounty had said, right after Ale had pushed Cobalt down and laying on him. They were both embarresed, and they stood up.

"So why you here?" The Bounty had asked.

"Well... Like you said... First time, you know? Somewhere special..." She said, giggling nervously. She'd shot Cobalt a look to stay silent, and he did.

"We didn't mean any trouble, sir." She said. She winced as she walked away, but the Bounty didn't notice. She'd put a shield over herself and Cobalt, changing what they looked like. She was now a brunette and he was blond instead of black-haired.

The Bounty watched them as they left, and then walked away. Just to be careful, they walked through a river.

Ale was forced from her daydreams when the door opened, and a guard came out.

"Sir! There's a boy out there-He's beating us all! Should we move the Fallen One?" he asked.

A scientist moved to speak, but a flash pushed him out the window. He screamed as he went down the 5th floor window, a horrible crunch as his body met ground. The guard was knocked out, along with the rest of the scientists, and Ale felt the rope trying to be untied.

"Just kill me and get it over with..." She murrmered, delusional.

"Ale... Ale! Snap out of it! I'm getting us out of here!" He whispered to her urgently. She recognized his voice.

"Cobalt?!" She said.

"Shhh! Yes!" He said. She tried to stand, but had been forced down too much, and would have fallen if Cobalt hadn't caught her.

"Look's like i have to carry you again, huh?" He said, grinning. He turned to the window.

"You do realize that's forest out there, right? And air? And guards with guns?" she said.

"How do you think i got in here?" He asked, mocked insulted.

"Just get me out!" she growled playfully, too happy to see her friend again to work up the proper anger. He nodded, and ran out the window. His wings opened, and the serious look on his face vanished as they flew to freedom again.

Yeah. I cut quite a bit out, but thats to make it shorter.
